Business Operations Senior Manager

Overview

In this Senior Manager role, you will help Wise’s newly formed COO function govern and oversee an entity-level operation within a regulated framework. You’ll validate performance, data and customer outcomes across the group, acting as the gatekeeper for governance, risk, and regulatory readiness. You’ll shape controls, incident governance, and change oversight to enable safe scaling and high service quality. This is a cross-functional, impact-driven position with exposure to executives and the Board.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operationalise the intra-group outsourcing framework across the Wise Group
• Monitor, validate, and challenge SLAs, KPIs, and customer outcomes from Group functions
• Support design, mapping, and testing of IBS and impact tolerances for end-to-end resilience
• Maintain entity-level incident governance including severity, customer impact, and remediation tracking
• Prepare regulatory and governance MI, dashboards, and evidence packs for Board committees
• Act as the operational gatekeeper for change management affecting entity servicing and third-party risks

Key requirements

• Proven track record in financial services, banking, or scale-up fintech with operating model design, risk frameworks, or supplier oversight
• Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholder management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of UK regulatory requirements related to outsourcing and operational resilience
• Proven experience in managing outsourcing activities in financial services
