Senior Product Development Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Engineer in Moog’s Product Development team, you will lead and support complex aerospace design and analysis efforts from concept to certification for mechanical hydraulics components. You will work within an established engineering group on military and commercial programmes, leveraging state-of-the-art design tools and testing facilities. The role combines hands-on hardware work with design evolution, planning, and project leadership to deliver compliant, high-performance solutions. You will engage with customers and cross-functional teams to shape robust, safe products that meet airworthiness standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks across the product development process (APQP)
• Translate customer specifications into compliance statements and validation procedures
• Coordinate and support development testing to validate performance (static, fatigue, vibration, thermal, fluid dynamics)
• Report and present technical work to engineers and non-technical stakeholders
• Apply problem-solving methods (8D, DMAIC) to ensure task and project success
• Provide technical leadership within programmes and assignments
• Delegate tasks while ensuring delivery quality
• Discharge production disposition within airworthiness and EASA Part 21 constraints
• Maintain involvement across design, analysis, and testing phases

Key requirements

• Eight or more years of aerospace experience
• Working understanding of airworthiness requirements
• Awareness of EASA Part 21 regulations
• Ability to lead complex engineering assignments and support design/analysis activities
• Experience with project planning and cost estimation
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work across development stages
• Capacity to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Degree in engineering (essential)
