Overview
In this role you will support the Team Manager to coordinate the Adults with Disabilities Locality Team, delivering high-quality social work for adults and their families. You will mentor and supervise newly qualified social workers, shaping their development and learning. You will apply detailed knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and uphold human rights, ensuring people are enabled to participate in decisions about their lives. Your creativity and values will drive practice development and support digital innovation within the service.

Responsibilities
- support the Management Team across Adults Services to deliver high quality social work
- assist the team manager in the development of the Adults with Disabilities team and wider service
- mentor and supervise newly qualified social workers undertaking ASYE
- contribute to practice development aligned with the Adults Services performance framework and practice model
- operate within departmental policy and procedures, particularly regarding digital innovation
Key requirements
- detailed knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation
- experience in supervisory roles or deputy management
- commitment to human rights and UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
