Overview
In this role you will oversee the timely delivery of lifecycle handover points in complex nuclear projects, coordinating design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning. You will expeditiously review and obtain stakeholder acceptance while managing engineering issues and ensuring safety-case integrity. You will liaise with all parties to secure required information flow and timely escalation/resolution, supporting risk and interface management. You will drive design interfaces, supplier feedback, and QC processes through installation and qualification activities. This position offers impact through shaping delivery in a regulated, safety-critical domain with strong opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time delivery of lifecycle handover points across design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning
- Expedite review and acceptance by stakeholders for technical queries, early warnings, open points and change requests
- Engage approval bodies when the Safety Case is impacted and liaise with contributing parties to exchange information
- Prioritise queries and issues to resolve them efficiently while considering manufacturing and installation needs
- Deliver engineering outputs in collaboration with stakeholders and provide engineering support throughout installation
- Manage engineering-related risks and opportunities and monitor interfaces with suppliers
- Support quality management by driving technical resolution of NCRs and oversee equipment qualification activities
Key requirements
- Proven technical leadership in complex, regulated projects with emphasis on safety, security and environmental responsibility
- Awareness of integrated management systems and relevant policies, procedures, standards and documents
- Significant expertise in a relevant technical discipline
- Experience engaging stakeholders and facilitating issue resolution
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of PWR/EPR design and construction is advantageous
- Familiarity with EU directives, British Standards and company standards
- Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction or related field; knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Project Management knowledge with APM or Prince2 principles
- BPSS and SC security clearance, travel willingness
