Cloud Operations Engineer (remote – London)

Overview

In this Cloud Operations/SRE role, you will help secure reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure for a leading fintech software provider. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, tune performance, and automate delivery pipelines, while owning core parts of the CD process. The role supports a growing product suite aimed at transforming wealth management, with a strong on-call rotation and emphasis on modern tooling. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, merit-driven environment that rewards technical excellence and delivery impact.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and remediate application issues with long-term solutions
• Tune and assess performance of current applications
• Implement new tooling and technology
• Review changes impacting performance
• Automate software delivery pipelines
• Own key components of the CD pipeline
• Leverage technology for efficient solutions
• Assist in building, delivering, and operating fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Participate in a weekly on-call rota with defined hours

Key requirements

• Experienced and certified in cloud computing with AWS
• Experience in a public cloud (AWS)
• Knowledge of monitoring/alerting (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Windows and Linux OS management
• Solid understanding of OSI model
• Experience in database tech and basic SQL (MSSQL, Postgres)
