Associate Electrical Engineer ( Data Centres)

Overview

In this role you will lead the electrical design delivery for data centre projects, guiding design packages from concept to completion. You will oversee project teams and manage client relationships, ensuring high-quality engineering aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards. The position welcomes engineers without data centre experience and emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role inside a collaborative MEP environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical design packages for data centre projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary MEP design and external stakeholders
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior and mid-level engineers
• Review and approve technical documents (SLDs, load calculations, power distribution, lighting, earthing, fire alarm systems)
• Conduct site inspections and commissioning support
• Perform technical reviews of contractor submissions
• Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success

Key requirements

• Strong experience within the MEP sector
