Overview

As Software Engineering Manager, you will lead the Identity Platform engineering initiative, shaping scalable, secure authentication solutions for customers and colleagues. You’ll work with principal engineers and cross-functional peers to deliver on a modern, digital-first strategy. You’ll mentor a high-performing team, oversee architecture and delivery, and drive quality, reliability, and efficient deployment pipelines. This role combines technical leadership with people leadership to accelerate platform growth and impact.

Responsibilities

• Architect and make design decisions for scalable, distributed systems and migration of legacy platforms
• Build, mentor and manage a high-performing engineering team with a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Oversee agile planning, execution, and delivery aligned to business objectives and timelines
• Provide technical leadership, establish standards, evaluate new technologies, and roadmap alignment with product and commercial priorities
• Ensure quality, performance, reliability, and usability of software systems; manage maintenance and issue resolution

Key requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience as a polyglot senior software engineer
• Experience delivering highly scalable web/backend solutions
• Track record leading senior engineers and delivering high-quality software
• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, cloud and standard engineering methodologies
• Promoter of DevOps culture: build it, run it
