Project Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will support the commercial management of a major construction project in Bedfordshire, focusing on cost control, procurement, and commercial governance. Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of designated project areas and work packages
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages from tender through final account
• Prepare valuations, cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections
• Manage variations, change control and commercial risk
• Support the preparation and agreement of final accounts
• Collaborate with operations, design and supply chain teams to support project delivery
• Ensure commercial procedures and controls are applied consistently across the project
• Contribute to accurate reporting and project performance monitoring

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
• Experience on medium to large construction projects
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration
• Good analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative project team
