Supplier Governance Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead governance and performance oversight of Clinical Trial service providers (FSPs and CROs) to ensure high-quality, compliant delivery for Amgen’s clinical trials. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional partners to improve performance, mitigate risks, and strengthen strategic relationships. You’ll drive standardization, process improvements, and adherence to GCP and Amgen processes. This position supports phase 1–4 trials within the Global Development Operations team, offering impact across global studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, oversight committees, and performance reviews for FSPs and CROs
• Monitor supplier performance with KPIs and metrics, drive corrective actions
• Identify, assess, and manage supplier risks with timely escalation
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize service delivery for clinical trials
• Support supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and development
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and adoption of best practices
• Ensure supplier oversight activities comply with Amgen processes and GCP
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance supplier governance and effectiveness

Key requirements

• Degree educated
• Clinical research experience in biopharmaceuticals (biotech, pharma, or CRO)
• Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, and international guidelines
• Experience with clinical research suppliers (FSP, CROs, Site management, data management, etc.)
• Strong project management, process improvement, and metric tracking skills
• Experience in a global, matrix organization
• Proficiency in meeting management best practices
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, collaboration skills
