Lead Rulebook Configurator | Insurance domain | London

Overview

In this role, you lead the configuration and implementation of insurance products, pricing models, underwriting rules, and workflow logic within Rulebook/Sequel Rulebook for the London Market. You translate complex Excel pricing and underwriting guidelines into governed configurations and collaborate with senior stakeholders across underwriting, actuarial, operations, product, IT, and change teams. You will shape reusable configuration patterns and ensure governance, testing, and auditability of outputs. This position offers impact through hands-on rule configuration in a specialized insurance domain within Infosys.

Responsibilities

• Lead Rulebook/configuration of products, rating algorithms, and underwriting/ referral/ eligibility rules
• Convert Excel-based pricing models into Rulebook-compatible configurations ensuring accuracy
• Configure rating tables, modifiers, risk attributes, premium calculations, validations, and business rules
• Manage Rulebook pages, flows, product structures, and user journeys
• Support document generation logic, quote outputs, and downstream data outputs
• Apply reusable configuration patterns across products to improve maintainability
• Engage with underwriters, actuaries, and product owners to capture pricing intent and guidelines
• Lead workshops with senior stakeholders and communicate outcomes, risks, and decisions
• Define and execute rule configuration testing, reconciliation with Excel models, and governance artifacts
• Maintain configuration documentation, traceability, version control, and deployment governance

Key requirements

• Proven experience in insurance technology, product configuration, or rules implementation
• Hands-on experience with Verisk Rulebook / Sequel Rulebook preferred
• Strong Excel skills with complex formulas and rating sheets
• Understanding of XML and structured configuration files
• Ability to model rule hierarchies, conditional logic, validations, and calculation dependencies
• Experience with configuration testing and price-output reconciliation
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps or equivalent tools
• Ability to document configuration logic clearly
• Experience collaborating with underwriting, actuarial, product, operations, and IT stakeholders
• Experience with Agile delivery, UAT support, defect management, and requirements traceability
