Project Controls Engineer – Bristol & Cardiff

Overview

In this role you will support delivery of infrastructure projects across the South West, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data, monitor progress, and ensure governance of project controls. You will manage scheduling, cost reporting, and risk data to identify trends and mitigations, contributing to timely, data-driven decision making. The position offers exposure to high-profile programmes and opportunities to develop technical skills within a supportive, flexible work environment. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and cross-discipline teams to collect data and track progress
• Update project/programme schedules in Primavera P6 and/or MSP
• Compile cost data to support budgets and cost reporting
• Aggregate risk data and incorporate into reporting to identify trends and mitigations
• Prepare monthly progress reports against baselines
• Support governance and assurance of project controls processes
• Document management and control

Key requirements

• Proactive self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to analyse data and work autonomously or in a team
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Understanding of Project Controls concepts
• Experience in project controls environments or delivery/controls roles
• 2 years industry experience post university or recent graduate/apprentice background (preferred)
