Data Engineer SQL Databricks – Fintech

Overview

In this role you will shape and operate the firm’s data platform to serve front office analytics and operations. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into scalable pipelines and data models. You’ll automate data processes, ensure data quality, and integrate data from external providers to support fast-paced decision making. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines from multiple providers to feed the core platform
• Curate and manage internal and external datasets for analytics and operations
• Design pragmatic data models and architectures suited to a fast-paced environment
• Establish and enforce data standards and quality controls across the organization
• Collaborate with front office teams to align data capabilities with business objectives
• Contribute to development and operation of the data platform leveraging in-house and third-party tools
• Identify opportunities to automate data-related processes and reduce manual interventions

Key requirements

• Commercial Data Engineering experience
• Experience with Databricks (ideally also Azure)
• Proficiency with SQL, Apache Spark, Python (PySpark, Pandas)
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Academic record: minimum 2.1 BSc from a top-tier university; AA/AB grades at A-level
