Overview
Experienced drainage engineer with highways exposure joins a leading consultancy to work across Lincolnshire with Local Authorities. You will conduct site investigations, collect and analyse data, and develop designs for multiple schemes. You’ll produce technical documents and drawings, and mentor junior team members while applying flood risk management and drainage expertise. This role blends field work with design oversight to deliver compliant, robust drainage solutions at scale. You’ll join a collaborative team shaping drainage and flood defence projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site investigations and inspections to collect data
- Analyse data and develop designs for multiple schemes
- Provide technical solutions aligned with the approved design process
- Produce technical documents and drawings for checking and sign-off
- Mentor and support team members in daily activities
- Apply drainage, flood defence knowledge and flood risk management principles
- 2–3 years of highways experience
- Knowledge of drainage and flood defence; awareness of flood risk management
- Graduate or HNC + Eng Tech
- Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with the public
