Business Analyst Investment Management

Overview

As a technical Business Analyst in a pioneering fintech, you will translate client needs into clear requirements for a big data platform shaping investment management. You’ll work with clients, UX and development teams to ensure delivery meets criteria, and you’ll facilitate UAT in an agile, test-driven environment. You’ll advocate new technologies and help evolve the product architecture. This role puts you at the center of a fast-paced, collaborative project with impact on market transparency.

Responsibilities

• Lead client interactions to capture and document requirements
• Produce and maintain artefacts (initiation, business/functional requirements, data dictionary, user stories, test cases, acceptance criteria, user guides)
• Support UX designer and coordinate with internal and third-party development teams
• Ensure product delivery aligns with requirements and has automated test coverage
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and provide continuous client feedback
• Promote new technologies and approaches to shape evolving architecture in an agile, test-driven environment

Key requirements

• Several years’ experience as a technical BA working with internal development teams
• Strong understanding of how technology affects user experience
• Experience delivering a full artefact suite (initiation to user guide)
• Comfort learning new domains
• Financial Services knowledge (capital markets, instruments, derivatives)
• Accounting knowledge preferred (ledgers, reconciliation)
