Head of Operations – East Surrey Division

Overview

As Head of Operations for Modality East Surrey Division, you will lead strategic operational delivery across multiple GP sites, partnering with the executive team to drive governance, performance and service improvement. You’ll shape workforce planning, digital transformation and resource use to ensure high-quality care and staff wellbeing. This senior role offers meaningful change across a growing primary care partnership and the chance to influence patient outcomes at scale. Responsibilities

• Lead strategic operations and organisational development across the division
• Oversee governance, HR processes, risk management and operational performance
• Provide financial oversight, budget management and optimise resource utilisation
• Lead digital transformation and IT infrastructure initiatives
• Shape service delivery models to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction
• Support Executive Partner and Divisional Board in planning and evaluating priorities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, efficient services

Key requirements

• Senior leadership experience in healthcare operations
• Experience in multi-site GP environment (desirable)
• Financial and commercial acumen with budget management
• Excellent stakeholder management at Board level
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant systems
• Commitment to governance, quality and patient safety
• Experience in change management (PRINCE2/LEAN desirable)
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery
