Group Project Planner (Heavy Civils)

Overview

As Group Project Planner you will own NEC4 programmes across several concurrent heavy civils projects, shaping schedules and resource plans. You will work within a growing, professional planning structure to provide clear updates to operations, commercial teams and directors. The role offers hybrid working and genuine autonomy, with a focus on long-term development and progression in a technically challenging environment. You will contribute to safer, more efficient delivery of highways, bridges, tunnels and other infrastructure. This is an opportunity to deepen NEC4 expertise while gaining senior-level visibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple live and tender-stage NEC4 programmes across several projects
• Develop and maintain NEC4 schedules with realistic logic and constraints
• Manage resources, critical paths and programme risks
• Plan tender activities and recovery options for underperforming programmes
• Provide clear, concise updates for operational, commercial and director-level decision making
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across the business to support delivery

Key requirements

• Strong project planning experience within Heavy Civils (highways, bridges, tunnels, rail, dams, water treatment, utilities)
• NEC4 knowledge with proven experience managing multiple programmes
