Electrical Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley, you will contribute to water treatment projects with impact on communities and the environment. You will design electrical solutions for treatment equipment, integrating modern and legacy systems, and ensuring compliance with standards. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver on time and within budget, while engaging closely with clients. Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites
• Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, plant networks, PLCs and SCADA across new and legacy systems
• Apply design standards including Client and WIMES and legislation
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary design team to meet brief, programme and budget
• Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules; review supplier bids and technical submissions
• Create URS for control systems; review FDS and attend factory acceptance tests
• Review existing installed systems and interface them via site visits, drawings and reports
• Engage with clients to manage relationships and support their aims

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
