Data Analyst

Overview

As a Data Analyst at Autotrader, you will support key consumer-product areas (Search, Selling, CRM, Marketing) by shaping metrics, data products, and evidence-based decisions. You’ll collaborate across engineers, designers, and product leads to monitor user journeys, run A/B tests, and drive product improvements. The role blends analytics with growth and product principles to inform strategy and iteration. This is a hands-on position at a trusted auto marketplace known for its tech-driven approach and cross-functional culture.

Pay / Benefits

• salary 35,000–60,000 with 10% shares

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor product-area metrics with accurate tracking
• Collaborate with engineers to implement and maintain data products (dbt)
• Ensure robust tracking of user journeys aligned with company-wide analytics approach
• Plan, execute and analyse A/B tests within your product area
• Analyze product performance and deliver actionable improvement recommendations
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and alignment between Growth and Product Analytics principles

Key requirements

• Data Analyst experience in consumer-facing product teams
• Experience applying statistical inference methods and analysing A/B tests
• Ability to plan analytical tasks, gather requirements, and challenge misconceptions
• Ability to translate complex analyses into clear insights for diverse audiences
• Experience with analytics tools for user behavior tracking (e.g., Google Analytics or similar)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R; knowledge of ETL and foundational data engineering
