As a Pensions Associate, you’ll handle both contentious and non-contentious pensions matters for employers, trustees, and public bodies from day one. You’ll join a nationally integrated team that supports cross-sector clients, contributing to high-profile transactions, litigation, and governance work. You will shape pensions solutions, build client relationships, and develop your business development skills in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities
- Advise employers, trustees and public bodies on a wide range of pensions matters
- Manage risk reduction, transfer exercises (buy ins, buyouts, alternative funding)
- Handle LGPS matters across England and Wales
- Support corporate transactions, mergers, restructurings and wind ups of schemes
- Lead or participate in complex pensions litigation (professional negligence and Part 8 claims)
- Support trustee operations and governance matters
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development
- Collaborate within a diverse, nationally integrated team
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor
- Meaningful hands-on experience in non-contentious pensions work
