Associate Director – Technology, Vision, Strategy & Architecture (Financial Services – Banking & Capital Markets)

Overview

In this Associate Director role within Deloitte’s Technology, Vision & Architecture (TV&A), you lead large client engagements and guide architecture strategy for financial services. You’ll shape enterprise architectures, governance, and delivery across complex transformation programmes, while building capability and external eminence. You’ll work with CTO/CIO stakeholders to articulate next‑gen digital solutions and drive impactful technology architectures for Banking and Capital Markets. The role blends technology, business strategy and leadership in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead large client engagements with market-trend awareness across architecture, digital technologies and cloud platforms
• Steer architecture teams delivering Enterprise Architecture or technology strategies
• Define and deliver the client’s architecture vision and options analysis
• Oversee architecture governance, assurance processes and architecture management
• Develop architecture methods and collateral to grow the architecture community
• Support business development and run architecture learning initiatives
• Communicate with CTOs/CIOs and board stakeholders on digital solutions
• Drive large, complex transformation programmes through technology architecture
• Create propositions to drive business development in Banking, Capital Markets and Investment Management
• Mentor and develop TV&A teams in Banking, Capital Markets and Investment Management

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of financial services businesses and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to identify, lead, close and support sales opportunities in financial services tech
• SDLC proficiency with depth/breadth across at least 6 domains (Applications, Data, DevOps, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, ML/AI, Platforms, Security, Integration, Business Architecture)
• Experience in large-scale transformation programmes in Banking and Capital Markets
• Advisory experience to Board-level and C-suite stakeholders
• Experience with financial services applications (Core Banking, CRM, DMS, BPM, etc.) and supporting tech stacks
• Experience with treasury, trading, and market research applications; modern tech like AI for onboarding; cloud adoption in financial services; data analytics for risk and customer insights; blockchain/DLT and zero-trust security
• Specialism depth in one of Banking core banking or Capital Markets front/middle office processing
