B1 Engineer (Roamer) – East Midlands or Birmingham

Overview

In this roaming role, you maintain Ryanair’s 737-800 and 737-8200 fleet across UK bases, ensuring safe, compliant line maintenance. You will tackle servicing, defect rectification, and AOG recovery while guiding and mentoring junior technicians. The position supports strategic growth and operational reliability as part of a dynamic, cross-base team.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and defect rectification of 737-800 and 737-8200 fleet
• Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery
• Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment per procedures and regulations
• Supervision and mentoring of Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices

Key requirements

• Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential)
• B1 License with EASA or UK CAA Part-66 (Essential)
• Boeing 737-NG Type Endorsement (Essential)
• Boeing 737-Max Type Endorsement & Recency (Desirable)
• Excellent communication skills (Essential)
• Good IT literacy with AMOS experience (Desirable)
• Unrestricted right to work in the UK and Full UK Driving Licence
• 5 years maintenance experience and ability to complete EASA HF & Aviation Legislation (per UK CAA licences)
