Overview

In this regional leadership role, you will steer L&H Re Operations for UKI & MEA to enable growth and execution excellence across the treaty life cycle. You will lead onboarding, accounting, cash management and performance, using data and early insights to set priorities and drive action. You will build and empower a high-performing leadership team, embedding a culture of ownership, client focus and continuous improvement. You will own regional performance, cost discipline and risk management, contributing to sustainable growth. Responsibilities

• Shape global L&H Re Operations as part of the leadership team, representing regional priorities and global improvement initiatives
• Lead and steer Technical Accounting Processing and Sales Operations for the UKI & MEA region to ensure high-quality delivery and KPI alignment
• Build trusted partnerships with Market Units, Finance, Actuarial and the value chain, turning feedback into actionable plans
• Deliver early business and operational insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities for better decision-making
• Maintain disciplined stakeholder management with transparency and timely escalation on priorities
• Own complex issues, mobilising teams to deliver sustainable improvements
• Embed Swiss Re culture of empowerment, accountability and client focus
• Lead a multi-team unit with clear performance expectations, governance and talent focus
• Develop and empower a local leadership team, translating regional priorities into execution and mentoring talents
• Lead cross-functional and cross-location initiatives to simplify processes and improve controls
• Evolve organisational structure, capabilities, processes and management routines for future growth
• Contribute to group-wide strategy and transformation, embedding decisions regionally
• Apply strategic thinking to assess competitive position and inform priorities

Key requirements

• Substantial experience in shared services, accounting, operations or similar with track record of improving performance at regional/global scale
• Solid managerial experience leading teams in shared services/financial services across locations
• Strong data literacy and ability to translate data insights into operational action
