Overview

In this role you lead high-value infrastructure projects within the aviation space, guiding delivery teams and coordinating with senior leaders. You’ll drive project performance across time, budget, and scope while managing client relationships and business development. You’ll mentor junior staff, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to a culture of growth and excellence. Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery with a team across design, procurement, construction, and handover
  • Deliver projects to cost, schedule, and quality targets and ensure successful handover
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to optimise service delivery
  • Foster client relationships and maximise opportunities through performance and trust
  • Manage project resources (personnel, equipment, materials) and monitor progress/risk
  • Prepare project reports, manage Employer’s Requirements, and oversee contract administration (JCT/NEC)
  • Support fee proposals, bids, and revenue growth activities
  • Promote lessons learned and embed improvements into future projects
  • Develop and mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development
  • Collaborate with cost managers to maximise commercial outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and manage changes or disputes
  • Understand critical success factors across project lifecycle stages

Key requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering high-value infrastructure projects (10m+) in live environments, preferably aviation
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, APM or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading multiple projects with diverse client and consultant teams
  • Proficiency with JCT/NEC contracts and contract administration
  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills
