Principal Financial Reporting Accountant

Overview

In this role you guide financial reporting and insight generation to support strategic decisions across the business. You will partner with senior leaders within a cross-functional finance team to translate numbers into action, shaping performance discussions and regulatory submissions. You’ll lead consolidation, planning cycles, and reporting improvements that affect how the company operates. This is a hands-on position with visibility to senior stakeholders and a clear impact on EDF’s net-zero journey.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial reporting and consolidation
• Produce performance packs and insights for senior leaders
• Manage forecasting, budgeting and planning cycles
• Support regulatory reporting, audits, and corporate submissions
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, controls and systems

Key requirements

• Full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or working towards
• Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Experience producing and analysing Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements
• Proven budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience
• Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems
• Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders
