Supply Chain Operations Business Leader (OBL) – Bioprocessing

Overview

In this role you will serve as the operational bridge between Commercial and Supply Chain for Bioprocessing, shaping action plans that align with market priorities and capability. You will lead core competency building, sustainability efforts, and business continuity readiness to improve service and resilience. You’ll act as the customer-facing voice for BCP and drive cross-functional collaboration to unlock bottlenecks and sustain growth. Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational link between Commercial and Supply Chain for Bioprocessing priorities, ensuring aligned plans and end-to-end execution
• Develop and strengthen core Bioprocessing competencies, including customer supply chain collaboration, BCP readiness, sustainability execution, and bottleneck resolution
• Collaborate with commercial leaders to translate customer needs into supply chain requirements for a reliable customer experience
• Oversee Bioprocessing sustainability initiatives, tracking progress and linking priorities to outcomes across functions
• Own Bioprocessing Business Continuity Plans with governance, stakeholder engagement, risk visibility, and continuous improvement
• Be the customer-facing voice of BCP efforts to demonstrate resilience, service recovery, and long-term supply reliability
• Identify and resolve end-to-end bottlenecks across planning, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, order fulfillment, and customer supply chain processes
• Translate signals, priorities, operational data, and service trends into actionable recommendations and measurable improvements
• Establish governance routines for initiatives, including milestone tracking, issue escalation, and executive communication
• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying processes, improving data quality, and embedding ownership across regions
• Support major Bioprocessing priorities such as capability growth, plant readiness, supply assurance, customer commitments, sustainability progress, and resilience initiatives
• Develop trusted partnerships across Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Digital, and regional teams to accelerate execution

Key requirements

• 8 to 10 years of supply chain experience in Bioprocessing
• Direct Bioprocessing, life sciences, biologics, biomanufacturing, single-use tech, filtration, purification, media, buffers, or related bioprocess supply chains experience
• Ability to bridge Commercial and Supply Chain, translating customer and sales needs into priorities and plans
• Solid knowledge of planning, production, procurement, logistics, inventory management, quality, order fulfillment, and capacity management
• Experience supporting customer-facing supply chain activities, commercial initiatives, or customer collaboration
• Experience with business continuity planning, risk mitigation, resilience, or customer communications
• Strong program and project management to handle multiple priorities and deliver results
• Ability to analyze operational data, customer signals, service trends, and bottlenecks to inform actions
• Excellent communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management with influencing ability
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
