Responsibilities

• Design of Plumbing, Fire Protection and HVAC systems
• Review HVAC calculations and develop design concepts and layouts
• Prepare plumbing design concepts and layouts for modelling/drafting
• Contribute to preparation and review of technical documents, calculations, and drawings
• Provide technical input to studies and design reports to meet client requirements
• Perform self-quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings
• Assist in preparing technical specification sections
• Assist with 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting; 3D REVIT drafting as needed
• Prepare written reports for technical and non-technical audiences
• Communicate clearly with team members and clients
• Mentor junior engineering staff with support from senior engineers
• Participate in hands-on mentorship and continuous learning

Key requirements

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities
• Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered
• PWGSC/PSPC – Level II Secret Clearance preferred for Federal Projects
• Professional Engineering license is preferred
