Logistics Lead – Quality Management

Overview

In this role you will lead logistics quality for a major UK infrastructure project, ensuring equipment, materials and documentation meet delivery, quality and programme targets. You will coordinate a cross-functional supply chain, acting as the single point of contact for quality and logistics across suppliers, manufacturers and construction teams. You will drive inspection readiness, traceability and timely delivery to site, supporting continuous improvement and risk mitigation. This is an opportunity to shape QA/QC deployment in a high-stakes, safety-critical programme.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP) and oversee quality contracts and documentation
• Plan and conduct supply chain audits, coordinate with auditors, and resolve findings
• Develop Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) for the supply chain and ensure deployment of QA specs
• Lead manufacturing surveillance and ensure readiness of LTQRs and EoMR/ECSR/EESR as applicable
• Coordinate inspections and witness points in ITPs and FUDs, monitor completion
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and manage non-conformances and corrective actions
• Provide guidance on LTQR partitioning and quality-related activities to contractors
• Maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders and inspection entities
• Support supplier performance reviews, risk analysis and delivery recovery actions
• Report on KPIs, delivery readiness, documentation status and risk mitigation
• Ensure logistics readiness, material traceability and site handover alignment
• Coordinate and influence multiple stakeholders to maintain programme quality and schedule

Key requirements

• Experience in project logistics, supply chain or project delivery in safety-critical sectors
• Strong understanding of logistics across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transportation, construction and commissioning
• Experience coordinating equipment/material delivery, shipment readiness, traceability and site delivery
• Experience interfacing with suppliers, manufacturers and project teams
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for delivery performance and risk
• Confident communicator with stakeholder management and constructive challenge
• Proactive, flexible, well-organised, able to manage multiple priorities
