Fleet Performance Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead and optimise the fleet’s maintenance and reliability initiatives, driving the predictive and preventative maintenance strategy. You will partner with Safety Service and Air Ops to review flight data and ensure dispatch reliability. The position blends technical maintenance, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration to improve fleet performance. You will influence operational reporting and provide guidance to the Maintrol Team, contributing to a safety-focused, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a preventative maintenance programme
• Lead the predictive maintenance philosophy
• Identify and communicate maintenance tasks using multiple data sources
• Ensure Technical Dispatch Reliability from operational and reliability perspectives
• Develop, maintain, and present operational and performance reports
• Provide technical support and guidance to the Maintrol Team
• Collaborate with Safety Service and Air Ops teams on flight data review

Key requirements

• Experience in aircraft maintenance, particularly with Embraer E190 aircraft
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex data
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging targets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and data analytics
• Understanding of CAA/EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M, and Part 145 requirements
• Ability to hold a full airside pass and travel within the UK and Europe
• CAA Part-66 B1/B2 license or equivalent engineering qualification
• Type rating on Embraer E190 aircraft or similar technical support experience
• Knowledge of airline business, regulatory, and operating environments
