Electrical Shift Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will maintain electrical systems across a prestigious site in Central London on a Continental Days pattern. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute PPM, reactive, and breakdown tasks, minimizing unplanned disruptions. You will use CMMS data and alarm information to fault-find and manage asset performance, contributing to cost-effective operations. Your role supports safe working practices and continuous improvement in building services. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence reliability, safety, and efficiency in a high-profile facility.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine PPM on electrical plant per site schedules and asset lists
• Complete reactive tasks and identify improvement opportunities across the building
• Fix plant faults swiftly to keep systems in service
• Maintain appropriate spares and provide timescales for remedial works
• Keep CMMS (Concept, Smart Hub) up to date and close tickets with accurate data
• Ensure paperwork for reactive/breakdown works is completed and handed to the contract administrator
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe task execution
• Keep plant rooms secure, clean, and orderly

Key requirements

• City and Guilds Electrical Installations or NVQ equivalent
• 18th Edition BS7671
