Clinical Specialist

Overview

In this role you will contribute as a clinician embedded in a cross-functional engineering-focused team to advance health AI systems. You will shape safety, ethics and clinical direction while prototyping and evaluating AI-enabled health solutions at scale. You’ll collaborate across clinicians, researchers, product, design and engineering to ensure useful, trusted, and safe health journeys. This position blends strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-moving, safety-critical space.

Responsibilities

• Prompting, prototyping, building agents, scripting and data analysis
• Define evaluation strategies and create tests, datasets and LLM scorers to assess safety and performance
• Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, product, design, engineering and partnerships
• Contribute to safety, ethics and privacy policies and identify gaps in tools and methods
• Contribute to the clinical direction of the team’s efforts, bringing clinician judgment into priorities
• Own end-to-end initiatives and navigate ambiguity to ship impactful work

Key requirements

• Medical Degree with >2 years of postgraduate clinical experience
• Experience in health AI space (academic or industry) including development, evaluation and deployment of health AI products
• Hands-on AI engineering experience
• Track record of owning projects end-to-end (e.g., founding/leading a project, startup, or similar)
• Comfort with ambiguity and high-speed autonomy in changing environments
• Pragmatism about shipping quality work
• Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to produce high-quality written and presentation materials with attention to detail
