Life Science Underwriter

Overview

In this hybrid role at the National Underwriting Centre, you will renew Property, Liability, PI & Cyber risks for Life Science clients in a range of sizes. You’ll collaborate with UKI branches, brokers, clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality service while developing technical and broader business skills. You will contribute to the financial plan and promote cross-sell opportunities, shaping our Life Science underwriting capability. Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewal accounts according to guidelines and strategies
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers and distribution teams to communicate propositions and drive retention and cross-sell
• Contribute to achieving the Life Science financial plan
• Ensure policy documentation, contract certainty, compliance and regulatory requirements
• Represent Chubb to brokers and clients in meetings and production/renewal discussions
• Proactively pursue cross-selling opportunities through internal collaboration

Key requirements

• Good working knowledge of the insurance market
• 5 years’ experience dealing with brokers and clients
• Property & Casualty underwriting knowledge (essential)
• PI/Cyber underwriting knowledge (advantageous)
• Life Science sector experience (desirable)
• Multinational experience (advantageous)
