Overview

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and deliver transformational client projects, primarily in financial services, with a focus on Kafka messaging, migrating legacy systems to AWS, and advancing CI/CD and cloud deployments. You’ll work within a collaborative team that emphasizes engineering excellence and continuous improvement, gaining broad client exposure and ongoing development opportunities. Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver transformational client projects
• Work with Kafka messaging and cloud deployments (AWS)
• Migrate legacy systems to AWS and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve client systems
• Engage with clients and contribute to best-practice engineering
• Continual learning and development in a fast-paced environment

Key requirements

• Java development including multi-threading and concurrency
• Spring Boot and microservices experience
• REST API knowledge
• Kafka or similar messaging tools
• Good understanding of AWS
• Strong CS fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns)
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
