Senior Project Planner

Overview

In this role you support project controls and cost management for infrastructure programs at AECOM. You’ll analyze financial data, forecast costs, track progress, and assist in scheduling so projects stay on budget and on time. You work closely with project teams, lead or support meetings, and ensure accurate baseline data and change control. This is a hands-on position focused on delivering measurable project performance and value for communities served by our projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify key project issues
• Prepare revised cost forecasts and cost trend analyses
• Manage or assist in earned value monitoring and variance analysis
• Review contractor invoices and track subcontractor funding
• Create and maintain cost/schedule baseline data and progress reports
• Participate in change order tracking and budget alignment with funding
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6
• Define work breakdown structures, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths
• Forecast resource demand and manage schedule change control
• Support project cost review meetings and reporting
• Assist procedure development and implementation
