In this role you will advance the firm’s national planning offering, supporting a growing team across London, Exeter and Manchester. You will work on a mix of contentious and non-contentious planning matters, collaborating with planning partners and other specialist teams. Responsibilities
- Handle complex planning applications with legal reviews and strategic input
- Manage Section 106 and Section 278 agreements
- Provide planning advice for major development schemes in waste, affordable housing, and private developer sectors
- Act for planning authorities and registered providers in relation to CPO work and enforcement
- Support planning due diligence on commercial and corporate transactions
- Build and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing
- Ensure files comply with Lexcel procedures and contribute to training of junior staff
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor with up to 5 years’ experience in planning work
- Strong academic record
- Exceptional technical legal skills with meticulous attention to detail
