Lead C# Software Engineer

Overview

Lead C# Software Engineer shaping cutting-edge trading and risk platforms. You will balance hands-on development with people leadership, guiding a team of six and delivering high-impact software for financial markets. You’ll work closely with a global technology function to drive product ownership and technical excellence in a fast-paced environment. This role combines coding with mentoring to evolve solutions and skills at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead development across cross-asset trading and risk management applications
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Run your own projects and collaborate with the team
• Maintain hands-on coding while aligning with the global head of technology
• Own product delivery and technical decision-making

Key requirements

• 5+ years professional software experience in C#, Python, C++ or Java
• Strong software analysis, design and development skills
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• Experience or interest in finance and capital markets
• 2:1 or First Class Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or similar
• BS and/or MS/PhD in Computer Science or related STEM field with relevant experience
• Willingness to work in Central London with 2 days in office per week
