As a Senior Civil Engineer at Stantec, you will work across the full project lifecycle, delivering robust civil solutions for cutting-edge energy projects. You’ll operate within a multidisciplinary team to turn concept designs into detailed solutions and site support, contributing to advisory and delivery roles. You’ll engage with clients and project managers to ensure technical excellence, risk management, and coordinated designs across disciplines. Responsibilities

• Lead civil design across concept to detailed design and site support
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to integrate civil, structural, geotechnical, and M&E inputs
• Perform Owner’s Engineer duties and contractor-facing design activities
• Develop technical specifications, designs, and reports with cross-discipline coordination
• Provide advisory and due diligence support to clients and project teams
• Assist in troubleshooting, installation support, and risk management
• Contribute to high-quality, deliverable designs that meet environmental and efficiency goals
• Support client-facing delivery and contribute to design & build initiatives

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council and ICE
• Experience in civil design in waterpower and dams, hydropower and pumped storage, energy from waste, or transmission and distribution
• Ability to coordinate across civil, structural, geotechnical, and M&E disciplines
• Experience producing technical specifications, designs, and reports
• Experience in 3D design environments and Common Data Environments (CDEs)
• Collaborative, client-focused approach and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Ideally experience delivering designs for both end clients and design & build contractors
