Responsibilities

• Manage defence of professional indemnity claims pre- and post-litigation
• Advise on regulatory issues, risk management, and Ombudsman complaints
• Handle policy coverage matters for insurers
• Work across a range of professions on claim values from tens of thousands to multi-millions
• Deliver timely outputs aligned with service level agreements
• Contribute to development and improvement of team processes
• Capture and collate management information for clients
• Support business development and client relationship management
• Coach and develop junior team members

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer
• Professional indemnity litigation experience desirable
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures and litigation processes
• Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions collaboratively
• Proven track record in managing and developing client relationships
• Commitment to business development and identifying commercial opportunities
• Commercial mindset with awareness of pricing, resourcing, and profitability
• Leadership skills with experience coaching junior members
• Strong organisational skills and efficiency
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
