Southern Regional Manager – Freight Forwarding

Overview

In this role you lead the Southern region’s airfreight growth and operations, partnering with commercial, operational and product teams to expand export volumes and revenue. You will drive regional strategy, ensure service quality, and build a high-performing airfreight operation aligned with DP World’s growth plans. Your leadership will enable scalable export solutions, operational excellence, and strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on, strategic regional leadership role within a global logistics group.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional airfreight growth strategy and convert market opportunities into initiatives
• Oversee regional operational performance, service delivery and resource planning
• Ensure high service levels, customer experience, productivity and profitability across the region
• Manage workforce planning, workload allocation and team development
• Provide regional leadership and subject matter expertise in airfreight operations
• Onboard and enable new airfreight customers with seamless transition to operations
• Coach, motivate and manage direct reports; handle performance and employee relations
• Monitor month-end processes, quality checks and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements; drive best practices adoption
• Provide regular operational and management reporting to senior leadership
• Identify operational risks and drive appropriate escalations and resolutions
• Support implementation of new customer accounts and ensure operational readiness

Key requirements

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding
• Minimum 4 years in a management/leadership role
• Strong experience across airfreight operations
• Experience with LCL and FCL operations is advantageous
• Proven ability to lead large operational teams across multiple locations
• Experience driving operational excellence, business growth and change initiatives
