Data Investigations Manager (Data & Analytics)

Overview

As a Consultant in Core Analytics, you will lead data investigations and impact analyses across consumer and commercial data. You’ll work with analytics teams, data owners, and technology squads to diagnose incidents and client queries, guiding prioritization and delivering analytical output. You’ll represent Data & Analytics in incident meetings and drive data-driven improvements with a proactive Tiger Team. This role blends leadership with hands-on analytics to support Equifax’s data-enabled decision making and governance.

Responsibilities

• Build deep knowledge of data structures and permissible use across business lines
• Use SQL and Python to prepare data and perform analyses
• Represent D&A in Business Incident meetings and suggest analyses
• Triage incident tickets to assess severity, actions, and timelines
• Manage inbox for client data queries from D&A teams
• Support proactive data improvement initiatives via the Tiger Team
• Prioritize work for analysts across BI, incidents, and queries
• Draft and present proposals and results to stakeholders and governance councils

Key requirements

• Numerical degree (2:1 or above)
• Experience with SQL and Python in a data analytics environment
• Strong experience with UK Credit Bureau data
• Curiosity and ability to dig into data and processes to understand what and why
• Solid technical analytics skills to solve problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels
• Hands-on experience in a data analytics environment
• Leadership experience in incident or query resolution teams (preferred)
