Electrical Shift Engineer

Overview

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will manage planned and reactive electrical maintenance for a large commercial property in Canary Wharf. You will work within a seasoned facilities team to uphold safety, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability. You will troubleshoot and coordinate repairs, ensure safe isolation of plant, and support continuous service delivery. Responsibilities

• Perform PPMs and reactive maintenance
• Ensure statutory compliance and safety requirements
• Maintain electrical systems (single/three-phase power, motors, generators, switchgear, UPS, emergency lighting, fire alarm tests, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, pumps)
• Isolate plant and systems safely; carry out repairs per regulations
• Coordinate with subcontractors; maintain RAMS and logbooks
• Raise and close jobs in PDA; prepare reports and permits to work

Key requirements

• City and Guilds / EAL / NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installations / Engineering (Level 3 and regulations)
• At least 3 years’ experience in commercial maintenance
• Strong M&E system experience
• Live within commutable distance to Canary Wharf
