Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects
• Design HVAC, public health and associated mechanical systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop engineering solutions
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and wider design teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Monitor project programmes, budgets and technical quality
• Attend client meetings and contribute to bids and tender submissions
• Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
• Promote sustainable and energy-efficient design throughout projects
• Support business development through strong client relationships

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience within a Building Services Consultancy
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, public health and mechanical building systems
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit and IES (or similar design software)
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and sustainability standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers
