Overview

In this role you will handle a dedicated Court of Protection finance caseload, focusing on financial and property matters for individuals without capacity. You will work closely with families, deputies and professional representatives to build lasting client relationships. This position offers a long-term, specialist pathway within a structured, supportive department that leverages automation to free up time for complex decision making. You will operate in a growing national team with a clear focus on best interests and compliant decision making.

Responsibilities

• Manage a COP finance caseload focused on financial and property matters for individuals without capacity
• Collaborate with families, deputies and professional representatives
• Develop long-standing client relationships based on trust and continuity
• Ensure financial decisions comply with legal requirements and best interests principles
• Specialist COP work with no mixed workload
• Possibly transition from Private Client background with genuine commitment to COP

Key requirements

• Experienced in COP finance work or Private Client solicitor aiming to specialise
• Confident in managing own caseload with minimal supervision
• Clear and empathetic communicator
• Enjoys collaborative work within a national team
