In this leadership role, you will steer TE Connectivity’s materials science and product engineering strategy to accelerate innovation and growth. You’ll lead a global organization across NPI, sustaining engineering, and VAVE, shaping a roadmap that aligns technology trends with customer and automotive needs. You will build differentiated material solutions, drive program execution, and foster cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, universities, and industry partners. Responsibilities

• Lead global NPI, sustaining engineering, qualification labs, VAVE, and the innovation portfolio from concept to lifecycle
• Define and execute technology and product engineering roadmaps aligning with business strategy and automotive requirements
• Drive development of differentiated material and product solutions to strengthen market position
• Oversee program execution including prioritization, resources, risk management, and launch readiness
• Lead value engineering and cost optimization with operations, quality, supply chain, product management, and commercial teams
• Develop internal and external innovation networks with suppliers, universities, and industry partners
• Build and coach a global engineering organization, championing digital engineering, AI adoption, and cross-functional collaboration

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or related field with advanced degree advantageous
• Significant leadership experience in materials science, product development, NPI, sustaining engineering, or VAVE environments
• Strong understanding of automotive applications, customer requirements, qualification processes, and material systems
• Experience leading global or multi-regional teams in complex matrix organizations
• Strong commercial and technical acumen aligning engineering investments with business objectives
• Experience collaborating with external technology partners, suppliers, universities, and industry stakeholders
• Knowledge of digital engineering and AI-enabled tools with proven adoption in cross-functional settings
