Radar Health Systems Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the technical delivery of radar system design and integration for the ECRS Mk2 program. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate customer requirements into robust, high‑performing system functions and LRI interfaces. You’ll influence architecture decisions, MBSE practices, and ensure reliability, maintainability, and testability. Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and define system functions
• Own delivery of work packages including built‑in‑test, failure management, power‑up/shutdown sequencing, state management, data management, and security features
• Contribute to system architecture and LRI function allocation using MBSE tools (Cameo)
• Author system, LRI, and subdomain requirements and tests
• Define LRI interfaces and ensure coherent design across subsystems
• Allocate system functionality to hardware, firmware, and software; support integration and testing
• Provide technical direction and best‑practice guidance; mentor/line‑manage engineers as needed

Key requirements

• Understanding of full‑lifecycle Systems Engineering principles
• Experience in designing and capturing complex hardware, firmware, and/or software interactions
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex engineering challenges
• Experience in writing and managing technical requirements
