Overview

You will design and evolve risk and pricing systems for Equity Derivatives within Millennium’s Equities Technology team. You will build scalable Java-based microservices with Spring Boot to support equity volatility trading and lifecycle management. You will provide Level 3 production support and proactively optimize performance in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment. This role contributes to disciplined risk management and advanced analytics that empower investment decisions and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement robust risk systems supporting Equity Volatility trading strategies
  • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Integrate exotic pricing models for product pricing and lifecycle management
  • Provide Level 3 production support including troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements for platform reliability and performance
  • Conduct code reviews and implement automated testing to ensure quality
  • Write clean, maintainable, testable code following software engineering best practices

Key requirements

  • Strong Java development experience for scalable, high-performance systems
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices development
  • Experience using Python for scripting and automation
  • Experience with distributed caching technologies, such as Ignite
  • Familiarity with containerization (Podman) and Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
  • Previous experience supporting Equity Derivatives in sell-side or buy-side environments
  • Understanding of structured products, pricing, lifecycle, and risk characteristics
