Residential Development Senior Associate in Leeds

Overview

In this Senior Associate role, you contribute to a leading residential development practice by handling land acquisition, option and promotion agreements, and related documentation for a wide client base of housebuilders. You will work within a large team of specialist housebuilder lawyers, gaining mentorship and opportunities to influence major brownfield regeneration, disposals, and JV projects. Expect client-facing work, collaboration across offices, and active involvement in training and business development. Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate land acquisition deals, option and promotion agreements, and related transfers and deeds
• Advise housebuilders on brownfield regeneration, JVs with RP or public sector bodies
• Handle disposals of affordable housing and bulk sales to PRS/BTR providers
• Supervise 0–3 PQE solicitors and a Trainee Solicitor
• Coordinate and participate in client training and business development events

Key requirements

• 6 years PQE preferred; 4+ considered
• Residential development experience advantageous
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory capabilities in property law
• Ability to work independently and in a team with clients and colleagues
