Overview
In this role you will deliver cloud-native microservice solutions in a Java/Kotlin stack, working within a fintech environment that emphasises innovation and customer trust. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend services that power payments, identity, and core banking features. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and production support, including incident management, across projects with real business impact.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end cloud-native microservice solutions using Java/Kotlin
- Design and estimate costs for technical solutions
- Write unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests and performance tests
- Support products through their lifecycle, including production and incident management
Key requirements
- Formal training or certification on Java programming concepts
- Recent hands-on back-end software engineering experience in agile, customer-facing environment
- Recent experience with a JVM language (Java/Scala/Kotlin, preferably Java 8+)
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web technologies
- Understanding of relational databases
- Experience across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to work in a dynamic, diverse, geographically distributed team
