Overview

In this Product Designer role, you shape digital in-vehicle experiences for Wayve’s development fleet and guest-facing interfaces that showcase ADAS and autonomous driving tech. You own features from discovery to delivery, blending user insight with interaction and visual design. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering and Operations, and explores multi-sensory interfaces to make complex tech intuitive. This is a chance to contribute to safer, smarter driving through innovative design in a hybrid London setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, observation and usability testing with operators, guests and customers
  • Turn user needs and operational requirements into clear journeys and interactions
  • Apply inclusive and accessible design principles for diverse needs
  • Design interactions across visual interfaces, sound, haptics and lighting as a cohesive experience
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and production-ready designs
  • Define interaction states, edge cases and feedback for implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to balance user needs, product goals and technical constraints
  • Review implementation and maintain high quality in the finished experience
  • Contribute reusable interaction and visual patterns across Wayve’s vehicle-related products

Key requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong interaction and visual/UI craft
  • Understanding of inclusive and accessible design
  • Strong wireframing and prototyping skills
  • Curiosity and judgement, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Clear communication and ability to explain design decisions
