Technical Support & Test Engineer

Overview

In this role you support customers while coordinating testing, validation, and release work for cloud and edge-based systems. You will bridge development and customers, ensuring smooth technical support and robust software releases. The position sits in an engineering team at a growing spatial AI startup in Oxford, offering hands-on problems and a chance to shape product quality. You will work in a hybrid model with mandatory on-site presence three days per week. This is a chance to contribute to cutting-edge spatial AI solutions and scale impact across industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and act as a liaison with the development team
• Own testing, validation, and release management for software across cloud and edge environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues via Linux/Ubuntu command-line workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment processes using relevant tools

Key requirements

• Strong Linux/Ubuntu experience and command-line troubleshooting
• Python and Bash scripting
• Docker experience including multi-container deployments
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Strong communication skills
• Experience testing, validating and supporting software releases (desirable)
