Overview

As a Business Analyst at MACH, you bridge client needs and software teams in financial services and digital asset contexts. You elicit and translate complex requirements into user stories and specs to drive delivery, working with cross-functional groups through workshops, backlog grooming, and UAT support. You engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet client goals, supporting tokenisation and market infrastructure use cases. This role offers the chance to shape client solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client workshops to elicit and validate needs across digital asset and financial services use cases.
  • Translate requirements into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs for Agile teams.
  • Document current-state processes and validate with clients before sign-off.
  • Identify process improvements and design future-state operating models for digital asset adoption and tokenised workflows.
  • Communicate specifications clearly to development teams and manage backlog prioritisation.
  • Act as the client-side voice throughout the development lifecycle, clarifying scope and ensuring alignment with business intent.
  • Support UAT to verify functionality meets requirements before client sign-off.
  • Assist clients in articulating their requirements and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Deliver training, demonstrations, and software adoption activities for clients and internal staff.
  • Identify and escalate blockers, maintaining clear communication across teams.

Key requirements

  • Fin-Tech, consulting or client-facing experience in financial services (capital markets, post-trade, or digital assets)
  • Solid understanding of market infrastructure (trading, clearing, settlement, custody, or tokenisation workflows)
  • Proven ability to write high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs for software teams
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, backlog grooming, and cross-functional delivery teams
  • Technical literacy to engage with developers, understand APIs and data flows without coding
  • Excellent client relationship skills with a track record of managing expectations across stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate data flows and processes into requirements
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Excel, and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Ability to produce BRDs, process maps, and test scriptsav
